Motivational Monday

Hey Sol Warrior. Happy Monday! How was your weekend?

This week's topic is "I Wish Someone Told Me..."

I wish someone told me that once I graduated the real world would take me by my hair and just swing me around. That my mental health would be much more critical now than it was in college. That finding a job in my degree field wouldn't happen until a year later and still not really working in my field.

But I am here to tell you that although it doesn't happen to the average person soon as they graduate, you can still be able to do so. Your first year after college is your time to step into the water. You are so used to just putting your toes in the water that you do not know how it is with you being ankle-deep into the water. This is your time to travel and get to know yourself. This time is critical because we are transitioning into someone else. The transitioning period is a scary process because we are taking everything that we have learned and allowing it to shape us into the adults we want to be.

No matter how dysfunctional your background, how broke or broken you are, where you are today, or what anyone else says YOU MATTER, and your life matters!” ― Germany Kent

So do not beat yourself up because you have graduated from college and have no plan yet. It doesn't matter. Your plan will come to you when it is and the job that you want will come to you before you know with patience.
