Hey Sol Warriors! Happy Tuesday!!
I hate to inform you that we are no longer doing daily posts. So this will be your last Tip Tuesday post of 2020. But nonetheless, we have something big in store for you!
As I stated yesterday, this week will be filled with Christmas fun activities.
Today we are creating Christmas Ornaments!
Before we jump into the stocking stuffers, let's talk about how we are filling ourselves up for the upcoming year. What are your goals? Do you have any idea what you want to accomplish for yourself? How are you going to "restart" or rebrand yourself?
be yourself
invest in yourself
allow yourself to make mistakes but learn from them
continue to learn
be positive
"Success is not final; failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts." — Winston Churchill
We can only control ourselves and the outcomes we do. Do not continue to dwell on the things that others did to you. Look at what they have done to you as a sign. Whether that means to leave them alone or to continue the relationship.
Now let's create our ornaments!!
We can do little bracelets or reindeer, your choice.
I am going to do reindeer because why not?
What you will need:
Mini Wooden Craft Sticks (8 per ornament)
White Craft Paint
Red Craft Paint
White Pom Poms
Bakers Twine, Ribbon, or String
Printable Santa Claus Craft Background
Hot glue or white school glue
1. Download a free printable Santa Claus face. Cut out each Santa.
2. For each Santa, paint two red popsicle sticks and six white sticks.
3. When the sticks are dry, use hot glue (or Elmer’s glue for kids) to attach the sticks to the cardstock background. Start with the red hat pieces, then the beard pieces, then apply the white hat brim piece last.
4. Add a fluffy white pom pom to the point of the hat and glue a loop of string or twine to the back for hanging.
I got this cute idea from The Craft Patch. You can look at more ornaments that they use with popsicle sticks here: https://www.thecraftpatchblog.com/popsicle-stick-christmas-crafts/
