Happy Tuesday Sol Warriors!
How are you?
Today's tip is "How to be there for Someone".
Whether you are dealing with the Black Lives Matter Movement, police brutality, the deaths of your loved ones from COVID-19, or even just the death of a loved one regardless, we have to know how to be there for some.
Some ways you can do that are by simply doing the following:
Ask someone if they have eaten today, and send them food/ food money.
Show up to their home and just be there in their presence.
Allow them to have space but still be there for them.
Check-in on them daily.
If you noticed that they have been drinking a lot more or doing things that aren't a norm for them remove them out of that situation and get them to some fresh air.
As a community, it is up to us to help uplift each other and understand that our strong friends can not always be strong. Sometimes they have their break downs and we have to be there for them and make sure that they know that they are loved and that you care about them as much as they care about you.
Just being there for someone can sometimes bring hope when all seems hopeless.
